A Simple Drawing, A Powerful Idea
Several years ago, during a yoga training, my teacher shared a simple yet powerful drawing that sparked a meaningful discussion on the idea of Service.
The illustration represented a profound truth: when we dedicate our lives to service, we have both the ability and the responsibility to lift others up when we can, and at times, to allow ourselves to be lifted when we need support. Though it was only a small part of the training, the message resonated deeply with me and inspired life changes that continue to shape my journey today.
At the time, I was working in the corporate world alongside incredible people. While I was successful, I lacked a true sense of passion and alignment. I did my job, taught yoga classes, spent time with family and friends, and hugged my dogs. Life was good, but I wanted more. I wanted my work to reflect my values every single day.
Nearly ten years ago, I followed that calling and transitioned into the Human Services industry. Today, I serve as Chief Operating Officer for an organization that supports adults with autism and intellectual disabilities, a role that continually inspires and fulfills me.
The Paw-in-Hand Service Model
As I began building The Good Job Happy Co, this idea of service evolved even further. It has grown into what I now call the Paw-in-Hand Service Model, a symbol of partnership, compassion, and mutual support.
As illustrated in the model, we lift others when we can and are lifted in return when we need it most.

A Natural Next Step
Founded in addition to my role as Chief Operating Officer, this nonprofit is a natural extension of my commitment to service, inclusion, and meaningful employment opportunities.
Inspired by the dog who has lifted me in countless ways, the organization creates opportunities for adults with autism and intellectual disabilities to thrive.
