The Good Job Happy Co. is hiring at one of our Vocational Program Services partners, We Do Life…Together (WDLT), in Waterbury, CT.
If you are a participant in the We Do Life…Together Vocational Services Program, this job is for you.
The Job
Team members help make and sell premium dog treats. You will work with a small team, learn real job skills, and earn a real paycheck.
- Pay:$16.94 per hour
- Hours:Usually 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM, based on production goals, with a 30-minute unpaid lunch break.
- Days:One or more days per week, depending on your role. If you learn more than one role, you can work more days.

What We Look For

You do not need to have had a job before. You do not need to know how to bake. We will teach you everything, step by step.
Pick a role or learn more than one
Every team member is matched to a role that fits them. You can grow into other roles over time.
Mixing
Measure ingredients. Mix ingredients. Make dough.
Mondays
Shaping
Roll out dough. Cut shapes with cookie cutters — bone shapes, paw prints, etc. Place treats on baking sheets.
Tuesdays and Wednesdays
Baking
Put trays in the oven. Watch the timer. Take them out safely. Cool the treats. While treats are baking, stock the baking supplies for next week's production.
Thursdays
Packaging / Fulfillment
Fill bags. Seal bags. Get orders ready to ship or take to events.
Fridays
Cleaning
Wash equipment. Sanitize counters. Keep things tidy.
Every day
Laundry Services
Wash aprons and other items. Fold and hang in storage.
Thursdays
Event Sales
Help sell treats at farmers markets and fairs.
Occasional
